Pastor Mel Baga, B.A., M.Div., D.Min. (candidate)
Pastor Mel was born in the Philippines as the youngest of three to Mr. & Mrs. Romeo Baga Sr. He and his family migrated to the U.S. when he was 14 years old. He finished his high school education in San Diego. He earned his bachelor's degree at the Adventist University of the Philippines. He finished his Master of Divinity program through Bethel Seminary, San Diego. He was ordained-commissioned the Sabbath following his graduation. He is currently on the dissertation writing stage of his doctoral program through the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. His area of research is on the value of rhetorical criticism in analyzing biblical texts. As of January 2009, he has entered his 13th year of pastoral ministry. He is married to the fomer Miss Julie Marie Dawn Weir--a physical therapist by profession. They have two beautiful children--a four year old son and a one year old daughter.
